Fire Awareness & Warden Training
Fire Awareness & Warden Training is designed to be relevant to all workplaces, as there are many fire hazards and many risks. Our course is suitable for all employees.
The course covers legislation, causes of fire and how it spreads, fire prevention, the action in the event of a fire, the fire triangle and includes a practical session where delegates will be taught correct fire extinguisher selection and have the opportunity to use them to extinguish a real fire.
The course also covers the responsibilities of a Fire Warden. This is essential to ensure that employees who have been designated responsibility for fire duties, including fire hazard spotting, understand their role and that they are the first line of defence in preventing fires in the workplace.
New fire regulations, the regulatory reform (Fire Safety Order 2005), state that staff expecting to under take the responsibilities of a Fire Warden should receive training for that role.
This course is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes in length. All delegates that complete the course will receive a certificate of attendance and a course booklet.
For up to 12 participants per course. Courses can be held at your premises or here at Steward Safety.
